Hair product bestie for the Curls-on and off travels…

I’m still not there yet, but I am closer than I was before. It’s been hard finding the ‘PERFECT’ hair product for the curls & the one to take with me on my travels. I have tried numerous different products, there are some (not mentioning yet, I always wait 3 months before I can call it “THE ONE”) that I have currently lined up that could be the potential one. Stay tuned to see which ones they are, If you are part of the curls gang, you are in for a treat. They say good things are worth the wait, right?

Now, let’s take a look at the product that I have been raving about and the product that prompt me to write this sweet and short mini-blog. Let’s about Castor Oil. Why is Castor oil such a great addition to your travel essentials list for your hair?

For starters, it is safe to say that Castor oil is great for your curls! You only need to apply your castor oil solution 1-2 times per week. Apply to damp, pre sectioned curls, working it from scalp to ends.

This mixture works best when applied as an overnight hair treatment, which you can then wash off the next morning with a gently cleansing shampoo. Don’t over apply castor oil, as it can make your curls weighed down and greasy feeling. Additionally, if you use castor oil too often, you’ll need to shampoo more often, which can be drying and damaging to curls, so keeping a good balance is vital!

You can see my hair below after I wash it and let it air dry without applying any products in!

Travel tip: Make sure to add your castor oil in a 100ml travel container if you are traveling with a carryon. If not, you can always leave it in your check in luggage without worrying about the size of the liquid bottle.
